General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) visited Corps Level Collective Training exercise of Strike Corps. The exercise is aimed at validating offensive operational concepts.
On 20 November 2023, an intelligence based operation was conducted in general area Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District and after intense exchange of fire, two terrorists were sent to hell. In a separate operation conducted in general area Kot Azam, South Waziristan District one more terrorist was sent to hell.
On 18 November 23, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in general area, Khaisoor, North Waziristan District, on reported presence of terrorists. Own troops effectively engaged the terrorists' location as a result of which 4 x terrorists were sent to hell, including a High Value Target (HVT), Terrorist ring leader Ibrahim @ Musa, who was highly wanted by the Law Enforcement Agencies.
Leading Islamic Scholars (Ulema o Mashaikh) of all schools of thought interacted with General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ Ulema and Mashaikh unanimously condemned extremism, terrorism and sectarianism and pledged their continued support for untiring efforts of State and security forces for bringing tolerance, peace and stability in the country. They underscored that Islam is a religion of peace and harmony and any skewed and distorted interpretations of religion by certain entities is for their vested interests only and has nothing to do with Islamic teachings.
On night 14/15 November 23, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in general area Kiri Machan Khel, Tank District, on reported presence of terrorists. During conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists, as a result of which seven terrorists were sent to hell.
On night 12/13 November 2023, a fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists in general area Mir Ali, North Waziristan District. Own troops effectively engaged the terrorists' location resultantly one terrorist was sent to hell.
Funeral prayer of General Sawar Khan (Retired), former Vice Chief of Army Staff was offered at Army Graveyard Rawalpindi today. General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, and large number of civil and military officials including senior retired Army officers and relatives of deceased attended the funeral.
On night 7/8 November 2023, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in general area Ursoon near Pakistan - Afghanistan border, Chitral District. During conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists, resultantly two terrorists were sent to hell, while four terrorists got seriously injured.
Namaz-e-Janaza of Naik Khushdil Khan (age 31 years, resident of District Lakki Marwat), Naik Rafique Khan (age 27 years, resident of District Charsadda) and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir (age 33 years, resident of District Murree), who embraced Shahadat while fighting gallantly against terrorists in Intelligence Based Operation in general area Tirah, Khyber District on 06 November, were offered at their respective hometowns. Shuhada were laid to rest with full military honour.
Namaz-e-Janaza of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider (age 42 years, resident of DHA-2, Islamabad) who embraced shahadat in general area of Tirah Valley, Khyber District was offered today at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi. Shaheed was buried with full military honour at Islamabad.
