    Pakistan today successfully conducted Training Launch of Ghauri Weapon System aimed at testing the operational and technical readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command. The launch was witnessed by Commander Army Strategic Force Command (ASFC), senior officers from the strategic forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organization.

    Passing out parade of cadets of 148th PMA Long Course, 67th Integrated Course, 35th Technical Graduate Course and 22nd Lady Cadet Course was held at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul today. Cadets from Iraq, Maldives, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, Sri Lanka and Yemen were also amongst the graduates.

    Namaz-e-Janaza of Lance Naik Tabbasum Ul Haq Shaheed (age 36 years, resident of District Rawalpindi), Sepoy Naeem Akhtar Shaheed (age 30 years, resident of District Attock), Sepoy Abdul Hameed Shaheed (age 23 years, resident of District Multan) and Sepoy Farman Ali Shaheed (age 25 years, resident of District Kashmore) who embraced shahadat in two different encounters on 19 October 2023 at North and South Waziristan Districts, were offered at their respective hometowns. Shuhada were laid to rest with full military honour.

    On night 19/20 October 2023, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in general area Semu Wanda, Lakki Marwat District, on reported presence of terrorists. During conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and the terrorists, resultantly four terrorists were sent to hell, while one terrorist got injured and was apprehended by the security forces.

    General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M) Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited an operational air base of Pakistan Air Force to witness the on-going aerial exercise Indus Shield-2023. The Air Chiefs of Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Hungary were also among the distinguished guests who witnessed PAF's 14 nation mega air exercise.

    On night 18/19 October 2023, two fierce encounters took place between own troops and the terrorists in North and South Waziristan districts. The first engagement occurred in general area Gharyoum, North Waziristan District; where own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location as a result of which 6 x terrorists were sent to hell including a High Value Target, terrorist ringleader Hazrat Zaman alias Khawarey Mullah, who was actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area and was highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies.

    Namaz-e-Janaza of Sepoy Sajid Azam Shaheed (age 31 years, resident of District Kotli Azad Kashmir) who embraced shahadat on 16 October 2023 in general area Asman Manza, south waziristan district was offered at native town Nakyal, District Kotli, Azad Kashmir Shaheed was laid to rest with full military honour. Senior serving military officers, relatives and locals of the area attended the funeral.
