The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has said that valiant troops of Pakistan Army are fully capable to meet the challenges to security and stability of the motherland. He was addressing troops on the occasion of Sesqui Centennial Ceremony of an Armour Regiment at Pano Aqil Garrison. He appreciated the services and sacrifices of officers and jawans of the Regiment which they have rendered for the defence of the country.

General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani also visited the Division Headquarters where he was briefed about the operational and administrative matters. He also visited the training area and saw the troops engaged in realistic and extensive training.

Earlier, the COAS laid a floral wreath at Shuhada’s Monument (Pakistan Chowk) and offered Fateha. Corps Commander Karachi, Lieutenant General Shahid Iqbal was also present on the occasion.
